About Habitat for Humanity Calaveras
Habitat for Humanity Calaveras (www.habitatcalaveras.org) is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (www.habitat.org) and shares the national organization’s mission of building affordable homes for and with families in need of decent housing. Families in Calaveras County in need of housing apply and are selected without favoritism or discrimination, but they must contribute time in building the homes and be credit-worthy to qualify for the no-interest first mortgage and forgivable second mortgage to meet low monthly payments. Habitat provides a hand up not a hand out and is continually looking for low cost property or donations of property to continue its mission
